Android 8.0 Oreo is official now. Google has already released OTA update for Pixel and Nexus devices. Soon other Android smartphone manufacturers will provide OTA updates to their devices. Lenovo owned Motorola also announced the list of smartphones that will receive Android 8.0 Oreo update. Where Nokia has mentioned all its Android smartphones are going to receive latest Oreo update soon.
Motorola added that the new Android 8.0 oreo update will start rolling out from this fall. Below is the list of Moto smartphones receiving Oreo update.

Earlier Moto mentioned that the Android 8.0 Oreo update will not be available for Moto G4 and G4 Plus. And the above list confirms it. Further, company’s support page also says Motorola software support for Moto X 1st generation will not be available from December 2017. So, if you have not updated your device, please update as soon as possible.
Looking into the new features of Android 8.0 Oreo, it packs many customisations and improvements compared to Android 7.0 Nougat. Motorola assures faster speeds, long battery life, smart text selection, split screen and improved notifications. Further, Android Oreo comes with Autofill framework and Google Play protect to provide ultimate security for the Android apps. Another important feature in Android Oreo is picture-in-picture where one app can be used in full screen while other in small additional window.
If you are using one of the device mentioned in the list, keep an eye on notification bar for the software update notification.
